HISTORY
The Department of English of Barpathar College was deemed from the starting of the institution as a literature department for the under graduate level. It got its first concurrence as and when the institution got its affiliation under Dibrugarh University according to the memo No DU/Admin/BPC/Per/90/990 in the year 1990. It has only non honours mode subject to very i.e. Pass Course and MIL (Alt. English.)

The Department adopts a strong vision towards enhancing skills, knowledge, Societal values and a capacity building among the students.
OUR MISSION
Its departmental mission is to eliminate the gap of between the mother language and that of the second language. It works to strengthen the students mentality to grow up their ability to meet the challenges in Higher Education.
